H5P | About H5P Activity types
H5P is one of the external learning tools that are integrated into Brightspace, allowing teachers to create interactive content within their courses. With H5P, educators can design a wide variety of learning activities, providing students with opportunities to actively engage with the material. These activities can include interactive presentations, quizzes, timelines, 360° images, and videos with embedded questions or clickable elements.
In this article you will find an overview of the H5P activity types.
Overview of activities

Create True/False questions.
A True/False question is often used in surveys and consists of a statement that demands a true or false answer. Alternatively, you could change the answers to Yes/No, Agree/Disagree, etc.

Create questions with one correct answer.
The Single Choice Set content type allows allows content designers to create question sets with one correct answer per question. The end user gets immediate feedback after submitting each answer.

Create flexible multiple choice questions.
The Multiple Choice content type is your staple multiple choice quizzing tool. Multiple Choice can be used to test the learner's level of knowledge on a given topic.

Create stylish and modern flashcards.
The Flashcards content type is a set of cards containing a picture on one side of the card and a corresponding text on the other side. The learner is asked to type a word or expression corresponding to the picture, before turning the card over and revealing the correct answer.

Create text-based turning cards.
The Dialog cards content type enables you to create a set of cards with corresponding words or expressions on either side of the cards.

Create a task with missing words in a text.
The Fill in the blanks allows eLearning designers to create close tests. Portions of words or sentences are removed from a text and the learner is asked to replace the missing text.

Create a dictation with instant feedback.
You can add audio samples containing a sentence for dictation and enter the correct transcription. Your students can listen to the samples and enter what they have heard into a text field. Their answers will be evaluated automatically.

Create essay with instant feedback.
The text which learners have created will be scanned for keywords that have been defined by an author beforehand.

Create an interactive summary task.
The Summary content type allows learners to interactively build a summary of a certain topic. Summaries are a perfect way to strengthen your learners’ ability to remember by encouraging them to build interactive summaries as they learn.

Drag and drop image matching game.
Image pairing is a simple and effective activity that requires learners to match pairs of images. Since it is not required for both images in a pair to be the same, authors are also able to test the understanding of a relation between two different images.

Create an image with a question and answer.
This content type allows you to create questions where the end-user should guess the answer based on the image. Then, by pressing the bar below the image, the user reveals the correct answer.

Place images in the correct order.
The Image Sequencing content type challenges the learner to order a randomized set of images according to a task description.

Create a task where users highlight words.
Mark the words allow content designers to create textual expressions with a defined set of correct words. The end-user highlights words according to the task description and gets a score. For wrong answers, the user gets negative points.

Create text-based drag and drop tasks.
Drag the Words question type allowing creatives to create text-based challenges where users are to drag words into blanks in sentences. Excellent for language training among other things.

Create time-based arithmetic quizzes.
Create arithmetic quizzes to test the learner's knowledge in Basic Arithmetic Operations or in Linear Equations. The author chooses the number of questions and the type while the Questions are generated automatically.

Create the classic image pairing game.
Memory game content type allows authors to add their own images (and optional text) to a memory game. To play the game, users search for image pairs, which will display a specified text message once a matching pair has been found.

Easily create an Image Slider.
Image Slider can be used to present images in an appealing way. Images appear in a carousel with navigational arrows on each side.

Create a timeline of events with multimedia.
The Timeline content type allows you to place a sequence of events in chronological order. For each event, you may add images and texts. You may also include assets from Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Vimeo, Google Maps and SoundCloud.

Quickly generate bar and pie charts.
Use the Chart content type to present simple statistical data graphically without having to create the charts manually.

Create drag and drop tasks with images.
The Drag and drop content type allows learners to drag a piece of text or an image and drop it on one or more corresponding dropzones.

Create an image with multiple info hotspots.
The Image hotspots content type allows you to place an overlay of hotspots on images and graphics. The user presses the hotspots to reveal an associated text.

Create vertically stacked expandable items.
The Accordion content type allows users to add accessible accordions to their sites. The accordion is fully responsive and works great on smaller screens as well as on desktops.

Create a collage of multiple images.
Use the Collage tool to put together images in a nice composition. There are several layouts to pick from.

Create a sequence of images that changes gradually.
Add a sequence of images that people are supposed to look at sequentially, for example, photos of an item that changes over time or images that reveal more and more details.
You can optionally add some text information that describes the current image.

Combine multiple content items into one column layout.
The Column content type could be used to organize your H5P content into a one column layout. Content types that address similar material or share a common theme can be grouped together using Column to create a coherent learning experience.

Create a form wizard with text export.
The Documentation tool can be used to create form wizards and outputs a document when the user has reach the end of the wizard. The Documentation Tool is fully responsive and works great on smaller screens as well as on your desktop.

Create a series of interactive questions.
The question set allows eLearning designers to create a sequence of various quiz types, including Multichoice questions, Fill in the blanks, and Drag and drop. The question set supports customized text feedback as well as video feedback to the learner.

Create a presentation with interactive slides.
The Course presentation content type allows you to create a slide-based presentation of your learning material. Elements such as slide titles, links, pictures, audio and video clips, as well as various quiz types can be embedded seamlessly right into the presentation for a richer learning experience.

Create interactive 360 environments.
Virtual Tour (360) content type allows users to add questions, text, and interactions to multiple 360 environments using only a web browser. Make your 360 (equirectangular) images more engaging with H5P and Virtual Tour.

Create a slideshow with parallax effects.

Fill in the missing words.
Advanced Fill in the Blanks is a question type that allows creating fill in the blanks tasks with advanced feedback. The main difference between "Fill in the blanks" and "Advanced fill in the blanks" is that in the second, you can provide feedback for a specific incorrect answer and you can also offer answers for users to choose from a dropdown.

Create videos enriched with interactions.
The Interactive video content type allows you to add interactions on top of video clips. Interactions such as images, elaborating text, links and quizzes pop up while the learner watches the video.

Create a sequence of questions that adapt based on the learner's answers.
The branching scenario is a content type for creating decision-based learning experiences where each choice leads to a different path. This enables learners to explore dilemmas, apply knowledge in context, and follow personalized learning journeys.
