How to view a submission to Unicheck Assignment

To access and to review students' submissions made to Unicheck through the Assignment tool depends on how you shared the assignment with your students. Either you placed the Unicheck assignment in a content (sub)module, or you did not and hence the assignment can be found under the Assessment tab.

How to access students' submission to Unicheck

Via the Assessment tab

Navigate to your course page.

1. Click on Assessment, a drop down menu will appear

2. Then click on Assignments

Click on Assessment then on Assignments

In the Assignments homepage:

3. Click on the Unicheck assignment you want to view

Click on the assignment you choose to view

This action will open the assignment page in the tab Users:

In the Assignment Submissions page, you will see the student's text submission confirming they have uploaded their assignment through Unicheck.

4. Click on the gray button Edit Assignment

Click on Edit Assignment

This action will open the Edit Assignment page.

5. Click on the Unicheck linkĀ attachmentĀ underneath Attachments

Click on the attached file

This action will open the Unicheck assignment in a new browser tab, together with the overview of students' submissions.

Via the Content Tab

To access the Unicheck assignment's submissions you will need the assignment to be added to a content (sub)modul. For more information on how to do so, please visit: How to add an Assignment to Content

Navigate to the course page. Then,

  1. Click Content
  2. Click the (sub)module
  3. Click on the assignment name

This action will open the Assignment details - instructions and attachments.

  1. Click on the attached Unicheck link
Click on the attachment in blue

This action will open the Assignment in a new browser tab with the Unicheck iframe.

How to view the submission in Unicheck

After accessing the Unicheck link attached to the assignment in Brightspace (either via Assessment tab, or the Content), in the new browser tab with the Unicheck page you will be able to see and overview with students' submission(s).

Here, you can only see which students made a submission but cannot see students who did not submit their work. Therefore, to keep track of student's submissions it is necessary to make the Unicheck assignment via a Brightspace assignment of a Text submission type.

  1. Click on Student's name

This will open the submitted document underneath the student's name. Ā 

  1. Click on the blue underlined document nameĀ 

This will open a new browser tab with the student's submitted document in the Unicheck interface.

This only allows you to view the Similarity Score (plagiarism). In order to add a grade to an assignment, you will have to create a new assignment with a grade item. Please visit: How to create an Assignment

The document will open in the Unicheck page

You can now view the Similarity score (plagiarism) of an assignment and include your feedback.

  1. Click the arrow on the left side of the upper grey bar to return to the submissions list in Unicheck.
